Group 5

                       Group 5

This was a life changing experience, not only for me but for my group.
I know that every groups going to say this but personally I think Group 5 was the best Group. Not all of us were the best of mates before the Great Adventure, the only type of communication we would really have with some people is walking past each other in the corridors and say hi.
On the great adventure i found out things about people that i would have never thought they would do or even things i would have never thought that were possible to happen to people.we all became quite close by just talking and playing this game called mafia, it was so much fun, we played it every night either around the fire or using any source of light in order to see.
we had a very active group and it was impossible for us not to play games, so while we walked we would play like concentration games like "one duck fell into the pond splash, two ducks, two ducks fell into, fell into ..... and we would make up fake stories about each other just to make things spicy and to add some sort of excitement to the group.

It is amazing that only over the time of seven days you can become so close to so many new people

This adventure was an adventure to remember and the only way you are going to get through it is with a positive attitude and team support.

group 3

I absolutely loved  the great adventure and my group; you guys are ama-zing.
we got through canoeing alive, we could become super natural people because of what we can do @( p.s. that little symbol over there is a thumbs up ( gugu and I  are the geniuses of that one)
AND the best part is that we DID NOT GET LOST on orienteering but merely took a shortcut (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ;D )
love you guys, you rock... and roll!
what looks like smooth water in that picture turned out to be savage seas.

Great Adventure- group 5

Great adventure was an eye opening experience that helped us develop as an individual. We had time to reflect on our days work and our own issues we had. Spionkop was one of the best days! we were one of the fastest groups to get to the top, finishing within 1 hour and 25 minutes!. The view was absolutely stunning! and the history talk was very interesting. We learnt about one of the wars and we also heard stories about the people who fought and the families of the soldiers. River rafting was definitely a close second. The day had perfect weather and our instructor was really helpful, He paddled most of the time. We had the best time and i'm sure any one you ask will tell you that it was a special journey and we all definitely grew as people. We became more thankful for our family and the things we take fore granted e.g the fridge with tons of food, a comfy bed, and clean running water.
This was Asanda Ngcobo on our first day- It was 36 degrees and there was no shade anywhere! She definitely wasn't happy about that as you can see by her face!
This was on the top of Spionkop.  We climbed up within 1 hour and 25 minutes! when we reached the top we had 2 hours to ourselves. We made tea and had a bit of a photo shoot!

This is the whole of group 5 on the top of Spionkop. We were all very happy to have made it up!.

This was on our last day. This was before we went cycling. We milked cows and we played with puppies! definitely a highlight of the journey!

Great Adventure 2015- Group 4

Canoeing day was one of my best days!!! We had so much fun paddling, laughing, singing and racing against each other :)

While Megan was trying to get back in the canoe she fell straight in so Megan and I were laughing to hard to actually get back in the boat and even to paddle when we finally got back in!

I also loved this day because when we got back we played in the water, showered under a tap and had boere wors rolls for dinner! mmmmmm <3 <3
